fill full time RN positions for all shifts:
1. May serve as back-up charge nurse for unit or shift, supervision routine task assignments of RN’s, LPN’s, Psych. Tech., and MHT’s.
2. Assess patients through a systematic process of interacting with patient, the patient’s significant others, and the appropriate health care providers.
3. Collect and analyze data regarding the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs.
4. Determine patients’ alcohol or drug toxicity and identify signs of withdrawal.
5. Develop a comprehensive outline of care and specific goals and interventions to be included in treatment planning.
6. Monitor patients following nursing unit policies and procedures.
7. Communicate changes in patient’s condition or legal status with other unit personnel and attending physician.
8. Inform incoming shift of any changes or problems with patients to promote continuity of care.
9. Participate in hospital emergency codes necessary to the unit’s and the hospital’s safe operation.
10. Review patient’s records for accuracy and ensure that treatment plan and progress notes clearly reflect progress of patient and family.
