Westside Family Healthcare is a non-profit, Joint Commission accredited community healthcare system with locations in Wilmington, Newark, Bear and Dover. Currently we are seeking to fill the posi! tion of Clinical IT Nurse to join our Clinical Information Technology Team of professionals.Job Description: The Clinical Information Technology (CIT) Nurse will assume primary responsibility of EMR clinical customization and training users of the EMR system. The CIT Nurse will maintain proficiency in multiple EMR modules and participate in CIT projects. Responsibilities also include handling CIT Helpdesk issues and providing EMR User support.Responsibilities: Assume primary responsibility for developing customization expertise, managing customization projects, and maintaining the Allscripts Clinical Customization Module Maintain proficiency with Allscripts Administration, Output Manager, Clinical and Input Manager Modules and provide coverage in CIT projects involving these modules, as necessary Handling of CIT Helpdesk issues and submitting Allscripts Helpdesk tickets as needed in coordination with the CIT Analyst Provide EMR training for all clinical staff during new sta! ff orientation period and EMR support at office sites as neces! sary Develop EMR training programs as necessary Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of problems associated with the EMR Serve as an integral part of Westsides quality improvement team to improve clinical quality Exchange ideas and solutions with other Allscripts EMR users in national, regional, and local forums and share information with CIT staff Develop a documented EMR knowledge base library for the Clinical Customization module for the CIT Department staff to ensure critical information for succession planning Work with CIT department manager and IT staff in implementing CIT projects and programs that are interdepartmental such as Patient Portal, EMR upgrades, etc. Work with CIT staff to develop and implement means of communication and educational tools for WFH staff regarding the use of EMR. Attend conferences and utilize other resources to develop and maintain expertise in EMR.
