This a full-time position in the Delaware Hospice Center Monday-Friday 11pm -7am with an every other weekend rotation.
Functions as ! a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide Hospice services to patients and families. Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality nursing care to Inpatient Center Hospice patients in accordance with Delaware Hospice policy. Must be able to lift and turn patients as needed in the normal course of patient care, following industry standards and guidelines for safety and correct ergonomic practices. Employees involved in patient care may be exposed to blood, body tissue and fluids regularly and are expected to follow all health care industry safety guidelines indicated in our procedures manual.
Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Delaware.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Certification in hospice nursing preferred
Minimum of two years of nursing, preferably in hospice or home care.
Must pass a background check and a drug test
