Description: Delaware Hospice is employing PT C.N.A. Delaware Hospice Center right now, this occupation will be placed in Delaware. More complete informations about this occupation opportunity kindly read the description below. This is a part-time position working 32 hours a week. The schedule is 11pm-7am and will require working every weekend.
Two years experience in hospital, extended care faci! lity , home care or Hospice preferred. Nursing students, completing one academic year inclusive of direct patient care, will be considered if certification requirements are fulfilled. Certification within the State of Delaware as a Nurse Aide or completion of a 75 hour training course and required competency testing. Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the dying patient. Demonstrated maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job. Dependable transportation to patient's home, valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record. Must complete 12 hours of mandatory education a year. Must be able to lift and turn patients as needed in the normal course of patient care, following industry standards and guidelines for safety and correct ergonomic practices. Employees involved in patient care may be exposed to blood, body tissue and fluids regularly and are expected to follow all health care industry safety guidelines indicated in our procedures manual. Serves as a ! member of the hospice team by providing personal care and ligh! t household services for patients, to ensure total patient care in the home. Maintains patient in comfortable and safe environment for home care. Position reports to Team Leader in the Delaware Hospice Center.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
Must have a good driving record
