Dover Behavioral Health System is a private
psychiatric facility providing behavioral health services to adults
and adolescents. DBHS is located in a beautiful campus setting east
of Dover, DE offering inpatient and partial hospitalization for
adolescents and adults. Treatment includes comprehensive individual
assessment; psychiatric evaluations and medication stablization;
physical exam and follow up; dual diagnosis programming and
m! any other services which guide the patient to a healthy
li! festyle.
Dover Behavioral Health System in currently looking
for a Full Time Evening Mental Health Technician.
1. Monitor unit patients and complete rounds as
assigned.
2. Participate in treatment planning by helping
to identify patients’ problems, needs and strengths. Report all
areas of concern regarding patient’s mental or physical status
to the Charge Nurse.
3. Assist in the admission process,
including obtaining vital signs, safety search of patients and
personal belongings, obtaining urine specimens and orienting new
patients to the unit and their program.
4. Ensure
precaution protocols are followed, and encourage patients to actively
participate in all program activities.
5. Accompany
patients as assigned by Charge Nurse.
6. Plan and prepare
adequately for groups.
7. Maintain patient, program,
department and related documentation ensuring th! at forms are properly
and promptly completed and routed.
8. Participate in
hospital emergency codes necessary to the unit’s and the
hospital’s safe operation.
9. Provide general
nursing assistance, appropriate to patients’ age and as
assigned and supervised by charge nurse.
10. Monitor
vital signs and assist patients with activities of daily living.
11. Carry out clerical and administrative assignment to
support patient care and department operations, including taking and
routing of phone messages.
12. Will adhere to all safety
policies and safe work practice.
13. Will adhere to all
hospital policies and procedures.
14. Perform other
duties as assigned.
15. Support facility internal and
external customer service standards.
16. Follow Dover
Behavioral Health System’s Time and Attendance policy.
