General Description:
The Radiology department at Chr! istiana Care currently has an opening for a part-time evening/midnight RN, 40 hours biweekly. Radiology provides nurses with an exciting specialty that combines cutting edge technology with the art and science of nursing. Nurses in the Radiology department work with a multi disciplinary team to provide a wide variety of care to both inpatients and outpatients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Qualified candidates will have 2 years experience in Critical Care/ED, ACLS, BLS requirred. PALS and TNCC preferred.IV certified preferred.
This position will rotate evening/midnight in MRI, and rotate both Wilmington and Christiana Hospitals. Weekend Call approximately every 4-6 weeks, Weekend committment every 4th-6th weekend. Holiday Call as required (work one holiday/on call one holiday per year).
The Radiology Nurse is a multifaceted dynamic person that must possesses strong critical care skills, work autonomously, sound judgement, fle! xibility and good interpersonal skills. The nurse acts as the ! patient advocate by providing the necessary assessment, monitoring, crisis intervention, and patient teaching for a variety of patient populations.
