Director, School of Nursing
The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing is seeking a visionary and inspirational leader to direct an exemplary and progressive, ACEN (formerly NLNAC) accredited, hospital based 2 year diploma nursing program. Qualified candidates requirements include: C.N.E., Masters in nursing and a current R.N. license to practice in the State of Delaware. A doctorate in nursing education is preferred. Effective communication, collaboration and team building are skills essential for this position.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurse educator who has extensive nursing education background, management experience, success with program development and solid clinical skills. The school of nursing is launching the constr! uction of a new state-of-the-art education building which incl! udes a simulation laboratory and an information technology infrastructure that will enhance nursing education. The anticipated completion date is the first quarter of 2015. The school's foundation has a clinical focus, but also promotes the achievement of the B.S.N. and has forged articulation agreements with several universities.
This position has fiscal responsibility and 24-hour accountability for managing the operations of both the school of nursing and hospital based library services and a member of the hospital leadership team. The nursing school's director serves as the key interface with the hospital's Vice President of Patient Care Services, professional and regulatory organizations and other academic institutions.
