Program and Grants Coordinator


 

The Division of Biokinesiology (BKN) and Physical Therapy is seeking a Program and Grants Coordinator who will serve as the BKN Program and Grants Coordinator. The individual will be responsible for supporting post-award management within the research program, administrative support for BKN program and research, and BKN student services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Research & Post-Award Management
  • Previous grants experience PREFERRED
  • Post-award management for grants to include:
  • Initiating purchase requests and change orders
  • Processes, tracks and posts expenditures for travel reimbursements and invoices on appropriate accounts
  • Reconciles grant accounts and runs reports to ensure all financial transactions are reported and charged accurately
  • Research Activities include:
  • Assists with coordinating, attending, and taking minutes for the Research Advancement Committee (RAC) meetings
  • Collaborates with RAC and grants administrator to assist with marketing of research specific events, event planning, logistics, and management

BKN Student Services
  • Provides a broad range of administrative and general office duties related to the BKN Programs and Research, as assigned
  • Provides administrative support and special project assistance for student services throughout the Division of Biokinesiology & Physical Therapy
  • Provides student support including registration management, schedule creation, degree progress oversight, and orientation programs
  • Assists with Admissions process and general student services functions

Minimum qualifications
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment and able to multi-task various projects
  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum of two years’ experience directly related to finances and administration, preferably within an educational institution
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing priorities and fluctuating workloads
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

The hourly rate range for this position is $29.17 - 33.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.


Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree Additional Education Requirements Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 2 years Minimum Skills: Directly related project or administrative experience. Preferred Education: Master's degree Preferred Experience: 3 years
