To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build a healthier future for our children, Nemours has embarked on a multi-phase expansion to create a children’s hospital like no other in the region. Upon completion in June 2014, the hospital will include private, family-centered, technologically advanced patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new expanded Emergency Department.
The Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center caring for patients under the age of 18 presenting with a variety of illness and injuries. Patients are admitted without regard to race, religion, place of national origin, or ability to pay. The average monthly census is approximately 3900 patients. The department is composed of 17 monitored emergency treatment rooms, a 6-bed Fast Track area handling non-urgent patients during defined hours, and a 6-bed monitored observation area. All basic and advanced emergency life support equipment and supplies are maintained within specific rooms and within the department. Requirements:
You must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experienced nurse is required.
Pediatric or ED experience preferred.
Must be eligible for Delaware state license (or compact license).
Bilingual preferred.
