We are currently seeking a Full time Continuous Quality Improvment Program Registered Nurse combined with Infection Control Nur! se to provide services to our patients at our Delores J. Baylor Correctional Institution, located in New Castle, DE.Job Purpose: The CQI Auditor serves as leader, mentor and role model. Assists the Health Services Administrator in coordinating the delivery of contract services and ensure the site is in compliance with all aspects of the client contract.
Responsible for auditing, documenting, reporting and communicating site compliance with the CCS CQI program requirements, CCS Policies and Procedures (both administrative and clinical) and legal requirements, regulations set forth by BHCS. Collaborates with staff to develop, implement and communicate a quality plan to bring site policies and procedures into compliance with the quality requirements. Grievances are an integral part of CQI. All Level 1 medical grievances will be completed, analyzed and documented monthly.Essential Functions: 1.
Establishes and maintains the site Continuous Quality Improvement ! Program 2. Reviews medical records to ensure nursing practice ! provided is within boundaries of State guidelines and CCS policy3. Identifies potential problems, establishes priorities, initiates effective problem solving based on clinical knowledge and informs H S A of proposed corrective actions4. This Nurse develops and executes plans for employee development to improve patient, employee satisfaction, quality of care and cost effectiveness5.
Conducts all Level 1 medical grievances6. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.7. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.8. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.9.
Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.Job Responsibilities: 1. Coordinates the collection of monthly quality improvement screens2. Submits w! eekly and monthly reports of audits conducted3. Chairs the CQI committee4.
Ensures that the CQI minutes reflect implementation of improvements5. Coordinates and develops site specific CQI initiatives6. Reviews medication errors and submits findings to the HSA and DON7. Prepares and submits requested reports to HSA in a timely manner8.
Assesses established policies and procedures with re-review as needed9. Communicates information to other nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel and other staff as necessary10. Respects dignity and confidentiality of patients11. Attends mandatory staff meetings and training12.
Responds to grievances as requested by the Health Services Administrator13. Post Orders, if applicable, per site contract14. Perform other duties as assigned.The Infectious Disease Control Nurse (ICN) serves as leader, mentor, and role model for theinfection control program. Maintains a knowledge base of current infect! ion prevention and control information.
Serves as the liaison ! with the Department of Corrections surrounding infection control issues and as chairperson for a multi-disciplinary infection control committee. Provides professional education for health care, correctional, and other staff as required maintaining an effective infection control program.Essential Functions: 1. Establishes and maintains the site Infection Control Program.2. Assist with patient care, utilization management and other job responsibilities as assigned by Director of Nursing.3.
Maintains a knowledge base of current infection prevention and control information through peer networking, published literature, professional meetings and other avenues as available.4. Shares knowledge and skills with others and brings creativity and innovation to practice.5. Makes decisions and performs activities in an ethical manner.6. Respond to a code or health emergency within standard guidelines.7.

Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.Correct Care Solutions is an EEO companyJob Requirements•Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, Baccalaureate degree preferred•Prefer a minimum of five (5) years clinic experience•Licenses/Certifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the State and•current CPR certification •Must have ICN experience •Must have CQI experience •Knowledge and experience in areas of patient care practices, microbiology, asepsis, disinfecting/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, program administration and epidemiology.•Attends a basic infection control tra! ining course within the first year of entering the profession preferred! .
