The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Leadership program is designed to prepare professional nurses for roles in advanced practice. The curriculum emphasizes the relationships among advanced nursing practice, theory, and scholarly inquiry. Nurses educated at the graduate level demonstrate competency in the roles of advanced caregiver, leader, teacher, and participant in and/or conductor of research. Nurses prepared at the graduate level also have the opportunity to influe! nce health policy and to practice with a high level of autonom! y in a variety of settings.

Requirements:
A Master’s degree in nursing is required, a doctorate degree is preferred and necessary for evaluating graduate nursing capstone projects. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, experience in teaching at the post-secondary education level, and have work experience in the subject area in which they expect to teach. Computer skills and the ability to use MS Office software are required. Experience in using Blackboard Technology is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
In addition to the minimum education, work-related experience, and computer skills, applicants are expected to:
Understand the mission and values of Wilmington University
Work within tight deadlines required of a 7-week Block format curriculum
Know various instructional strategies designed to mee! t the course instructional objectives and add to student learning
Develop a personalized course outline designed to follow basic course information provided by the University
Possess good writing skills and provide a writing sample when requested
Complete Blackboard Training and then attend the University’s 3-week online training program so as to demonstrate Blackboard mastery in the classroom
Provide work experience relevant to the instructional content of the course
