Perdue Farms, Inc is seeking experienced registered nurse or medical office supervisor to manage our occupational health/primary care department in the facility in Milford, DE. This proce! ssing plant has a total employee population of approximately 1200
associates on two production shifts and one sanitation shift to cover the operation.
Under the supervision of Corporate Medical Management, this position supervises and provides the necessary medical care of all associates in their respective Wellness Centers, manages all required federal and state records for OSHA and workers’ compensation,
monitors the cost associated with the operating budget of department and workers’ compensation and provides direction and supervision to Wellness Center staff.
Responsibilities/Duties
1. Supervises Wellness Center staff and function to ensure quality nursing practice, patient interaction and treatment and manages costs through strategic and tactical planning and growth. Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing
education.
2. Administers and maintains occupational health program consistent with Co! mpany policies and procedures to include federal and state rec! ordkeeping related to OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, post-offer physicals, integrated disability management, etc., as established
by Customer Supplier Agreements.
3. Manages Wellness Center areas of practice to include scheduled appointments, standard operating procedures, patients per hour, generic samples, budget & finance, etc.
4. Establishes and monitors systems to improve health of associates and dependents through direct provision of medical care, efficiently and appropriately delivered, e.g. HIP (Company’s Health Improvement Program), health & wellness programs, annual health
fairs, etc.
Required Skills
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing or college program or Bachelors degree in a related field plus 3- 5 years related work experience. COHN or COHN-S a plus. If a nurse, current, active, unrestricted license required for professional nursing
in the state of practice. Certification in and/or experience with ! Occupational Health nursing and/or case management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus business management skills.
The medical office supervisor candidate must have medical office management experience, baccalaureate degree a plus.
Required Education Graduation from an accredited school of nursing or college program or Bachelors degree. The candidate must be a licensed RN with an active, unrestricted DE license (or multi-state compact).
