(10 month) Delaware Technical Community College, Owens Campus, Georgetown, DE. Salary shall be dete! rmined by education and relevant experience.
The incumbent is responsible for teaching a variety of day, evening, and weekend nursing classes in the classroom, laboratory and clinical settings as needed. This position is primarily 80% evenings and 20% days. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting with the assessment and selection of clinical sites that provide educational opportunities for application of nursing theory for adult medical-surgical patients. Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a Master's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree and actively enrolled in a ACEN/CCNE accredited Master's degree in Nursing program to be completed by December, 2013.
Four (4) years of relevant work experience in nursing that includes primary focus in adult medical surgical. Possession of, or eligibility for, a valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Delaware or compact state at time of application and during employment in this positio! n; demonstrated knowledge of subject matter in areas of nursin! g, teaching methods, clinical skills, and nursing protocol; ability to communicate subject matter in a diverse population; ability to function in clinical setting without limitation.
