Emergency Room Nursing Educator/Instructor. Reports to the Director of Nursing Education. Responsible for Prece! ptor Training and Mentoring, competency based orientation for all ED new hires, and ongoing inservice education for new meds, procedures, and technology in the Emergency Department. Provides support to EMS chief to organize training needs as well.
Directly reports the Director of Nursing Education, but has a dotted line relationship to the ED DON and The Medical Director for strategic planning and priority setting.
Assists in selected central nursing education programming and Mandatory Education offerings.
MSN required with at least 3 years of Emergency Room Nursing Experience
DE Professional Registered Nurse License
One year of clinical education experience preferred.
Nursing Certification in Staff Development, Emergency Nursing or related.
Certified to train at least one of ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, BLS
