General Description:PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To use current clinical system and computer technology to support CCHS strategic initiatives. Interact with physicians, clinical providers and information services to improve clinical information process by supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of the integrated clinical system for perioperative services.
P! RINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilizes nursing! experiences to identify areas of systems improvement to improve clinical outcomes.
Collaborates with information services to support clinical systems.
Maintains a knowledge level of current nursing practice.
Collaborates with clinical care provides to support clinical systems evaluation.
Provides on going support to the clinical care providers with technology changes/enhancements.
Assist in defining the scope of service in support of CCHS mission, vision and strategic direction.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures that support the functions of the computer systems of perioperative services.
Participates in the design, development, testing and implementation of the perioperative services.
Supports a customer service plan that optimizes services and supports the customers for perioperative services.
Communicates with line management staff, other department personnel by utilizing effective verbal, written and computer skill! s.
Uses educational framework and clinical knowledge to promote unsurpassed excellence in providing system technology education.
Consults with other educators, nursing management and support services personnel.
Works collaboratively with ICC Project teams.
Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
Participates in workflow process redesign.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established department safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, BSN preferred
- Registered nurse with current licensure in Delaware.
- Database management and computer skills required.
- Operating Room experience in hospital environment required.
