POSITION OBJECTIVE: Directly responsible for nursing care given to residents by staff under the supervision of the 3-11 Nurse
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Make rounds during shift for observation/evaluation of residents
Assume responsibility for efficient resident nursing care in accordance with pre-set policies and procedures
Coordinate admissions/transfers/discharges of residents
Administration of medications according to se! t policies and procedures
Acceptance and implementation of! physician orders in a timely manner
Serve as liaison for residents/families/physicians
Colostomy/ileostomy/catheter/tube feeding care
Follow up shift reports on resident conditions
Notify family/physician of resident change in condition
Carry out physician orders regarding therapy
Ensure that resident rights are being respected
Ensure that sufficient supplies are available on unit to provide resident care
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 1-2 years LPN or RN experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
