ICT PROJECT OFFICER
(PERMANENT)
JOB PURPOSE
To design, develop, coordinate, implement, manage, and evaluate ICT Projects.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Responsible for project management of all of the following multiple PROJECTS, PROGRAMS AND EVENTS:
i. YDP Training Program
ii. Staff Training
iii. Specialized Training Programs for GDE, Provincial Government Departments, TVET Colleges, Gauteng Department of Education, etc.
iv. Technical Support for ICT Training
- Manage the Cisco Network Academy
- Ensure Compliance to the various Accreditation Bodies, Funder and Sponsor Requirements
- Management and Administration of ICT Training Network
- Provide Technical support to the Solar Labs and ICT Training Network
- Manage procurement of hardware and software for ICT training and solar labs
- Liaise with client to establish training needs.
- Develop and customise training to client requirements.
- Develop Project Plans
- Schedule Training and ensure the successful delivery of all training.
- Responsible for Instructor Orientation and Training
- Pre, Post, Formative and Summative Assessments
- Administration of all projects i.e. venue bookings, setup, training administration
- Evaluate training delivery, trainers, training content, training conditions
- Manage achievement of yearly targets for the Learnerships and training projects for all
- Manage the achievement of training objectives.
- Enforce ICT operational policies i.e. asset and venue usage management
- Recruit, develop and manage staff for all projects: Full- time and part-time trainers, interns, project coordinators, technical assistant, other contracted staff i.e. assessors and moderators.
- Develop customised resources for ICT projects.
- Develop systems for successful program implementation.
- Responsible for the Quality Assurance of all assigned ICT programs i.e. monitoring, evaluation, assessment and reporting.
- Assist the HR department with general Sci-Bono staff recruitment.
- Ensure training is delivered in compliance with all accreditation bodies, Funder, Sponsor and Sci-bono Requirements.
- Management of the ICT venues, equipment, assets and services.
- Manage ICT training procurement for listed projects
- Prepare and submit training reports to Sci-Bono Management.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships: CISCO, CompTIA, DELL, Provincial Government Departments, etc.
- Assist with marketing and promotion of ICT training programs, events and projects.
- Attending relevant ICT events i.e. meetings with partners and sponsors, Cisco conferences and events, etc.
- Assist with proposal writing and bid preparations.
Manage the Cisco Instructor Training Centre
· Develop customised training programs to instructors.
· Deliver Instructor Training to Cisco Academies
· Deliver Instructor Training to TVET Colleges, Gauteng Provincial Departments, etc.
· Qualify Instructors for the Cisco Network Academies
Manage the Academy Support Centre
· Onboard new Cisco Academies onto the Cisco Network nationally and across Africa
· Provide support training and academy management support to new Cisco Academies.
· Provide support on program management, resource management and staff management support to all new academies.
Asset Management
· Ensure that all ICT staff adhere to organisation asset and risk management policy
· Ensure that the ICT Asset Register is updated as and when required.
· Ensure the safekeeping, maintenance and optimal usage of all ICT Assets and infrastructure.
ICT Training
· Deliver training to meet set targets
· Conduct trainee and program evaluations and assessments
· Support trainees in preparation for exams
· Prepare and submit reports
Minimum Requirements:
· Formal qualification (Certificate/Degree/Diploma) in teaching, training or facilitation required
· Min Technical IT Qualifications required: Cisco ITE & CCNA, CCNP, Cyber Operations, DevNet
· IT qualification in at least one of the following advantageous: Programming, and/or database design and management, and/or website design and management.
· CompTIA A+ and Network + advantageous
· Project Management Qualification
· Management Qualification advantageous
Experience
· Min 3 years’ working in Cisco Netacad Environment
· Min 3 years’ experience in managing, facilitating or training of ICT programs required
· Min 3 years’ Technical Training in at least three of the following required: Cisco ITE, CCNA, CCNP, Security, CompTIA A+ and Network +
· Min 1-year experience in training management and administration
· Min 3-years’ experience and exposure to educational environment
· Min 3-years IT Experience in technical hardware software and/or networking, programming, and/or database design and management, and/or website design and management.
· Min 3 years’ experience in program design and development
· Project management experience essential
· Technical practical networking experience advantageous
· Min 1 year experience in proposal writing
