TECHNICIAN, ADVANCED ED

Description: Bayhealth Medical Center is currently interviewing TECHNICIAN, ADVANCED ED right now, this position will be placed in Delaware. The Advanced Emergency Department (ED) Technician completes tasks that support the care of patients presenting to Emergency Services, as directed by a Registered Nurse.
! Must be a g
raduate of accredited school of nursing; or completion of an accredited paramedic program.
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in DE, or compact state; or a Nationally Registered Paramedic (NREMTP).
BLS certification from the American Heart Association preferred. Must have basic computer literacy. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as doctors’ orders, drug names, and lab tests. Must have the ability to write routine reports, and speak effectively to patients or other members of the health care team. Must have the ability to take accurate reports and present departmental needs to others via telephone. Must have the ability to page others via overhead intercom in an intelligible way. Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have the ability to effectively communicate. Must be able to apply common sense und! erstanding and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or or! al instructions. Must have the ability to deal with problems and ask for assistance as necessary. Must have the ability to work accurately and in an organized fashion in a high-paced and often stressful environment.
